Is an SSD drive beneficial if your operating system is windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit?

Vista does not have TRIM support as far as I know. There maybe some down-loadable programs to "tune up" the drive but I don't know of any. Should this be a consideration? Should I just stick with a regular hard drive or could more performance be gained by simply upgrading to windows 7 64 bit? Looking for the largest improvement in overall speed without using raid.
My system is a brand new build, not the best but money is always an issue. I got a killer deal on the oper sys but I kinda regret it now.

it will still have faster read/write times but you have to realize that these will only benefit boot times and loading really large programs chances are your bottleneck is your cpu, gpu, or ram. generally you dont want to pay $2/GB unless you already have a pretty good system.
if you did have a pretty good system you wouldnt have 32bit vista, in fact you would probably see more benefit in going to 7 64 bit than an ssd
