If humans were created naturally, shouldn't everything we do be natural? Is the food chain natural? If so, a shark killing and eating a fish is natural. But humans killing a chicken is not?! Are we not animals?
Now people can say that if you change how you and others live, its not natural, but change is natural. If humans were create 'naturally' with this great intellect, it is obvious that we were created to use it!
It is not obvious at all that we were created, it is not obvious that we are intelligent, and it is not obvious that , if we are intelligent,we use it.
That aside, you're right. All animals have strong effect on their surroundings and some animals are extremely efficient at altering their environment, ants, termites, and especially beavers are good examples. Human beings living in complex cities are just as natural as a tribe living undiscovered in Borneo, just as beavers are natural even though their dams (used to) reform vast areas of land, displace / destroy many animals and plants and form whole new habitats -ecological systems- that were just fine for them but at the cost of the previous tenants. Other animals, especially herd and social animals also change their environment in vast ways, we just tend not to see it clearly.
But just because it is "natural" doesn't mean it is intelligent. Most animals come up against some limiting factor. Humans will too, at some point. APplied technology keeps pushing that point farther away but that is what humans have evolved to do naturally,always at the cost of something else. I think applied intelligence would have set a limit some time ago, and the cost of "something else" is getting too high. But it is natural.
